One Step at a Time
One step at a time, oh Lord, while I travel my life through.
One glory at a time, dear Lord, is all I ask of you.
One moment at a time, sweet Lord, to taste of life and truth.
One day at a time, Lord, to live as you want me to.
One life to give, precious Lord, in joy and gratitude!
And when my life is over, Lord, the moments and days all spent —
And I answer your call and pass through the vale and see your glorious face,
May I hear You say, “Well done my child!” and joyfully take my place!
