Pianist Peter Jennison wrote his debut album, “Longing for Home (Songs from War),” during his year-long deployment with the Army during the war in Iraq.
He said: “Each song tells a story through a soldier’s eyes— stories that reveal the incredible and unselfish love that military men and women have for their families, and their homelands—as they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for both.”
The sequel album, “Coming Home,” was written while he was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012, and this one “celebrates the touching reunions between military members and their families. It also pays tribute to those who return home wounded; and to those who never return.”
