“It’s a great day to be alive!”

“I play this song at my husband’s grave each year on his birthday. He insisted on hearing it while he was dying from cancer due to his Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. He was grateful he got to live for 40 years longer than some of his buddies who never got the chance. I cry even listening now, but I play it to honor him. Thank you, Travis, for this song.”

“This song reminds me of my wife so much. We married in 2002, and she died in 2014. She was only 31. We have two incredible kids together, and they turned out great. We used to sing this song together all the time. I miss her so much.”

Travis Tritt“My son passed away a year ago today. This was our man. We used to sing this song just about every day. This one’s for you, Brody. I love and miss you, man.”

“My brother and I used to listen to this to help us get through hard times. He overdosed seven months ago, so it makes me cry now, but still helps me to continue to appreciate the life I have.”

“Tomorrow is my grandmother’s funeral, and I’ve been in a dark depressed state, but this song brought my spirit way up. Rest in paradise, Baboo.”

“I was 39 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I was not expected to be alive very long. Now I’m going on month 34 and still fighting. I like to listen to this song to remind myself that every day I’ve made it to is a great day to be alive, even if it doesn’t seem like it. Just the opportunity to have made it is amazing. Today is a great day to be alive!”
