Trying to see some light in this darkness
is as difficult as finding Hershey in a
’39 Plymouth at night. You know it’s there
as you can feel it, the heavenly scent of chocolate
all around you fills the air, but the headlights
on the old girl just don’t shine the path as they used to.
We look for that light without you to guide us,
but the darkness that surrounds us
weighs heavily on our souls.
We will continue to make our path in this world
as you make yours into the next,
with Duke Ellington on the radio
we know you can find your way to Heaven.
